Human Maschine Interface (HMI)
The task at hand was to create a user-friendly software for managing smart home appliances. Together with Mareile Tempel, Ben Schiller and Bela Schöning, I finished the following task as a group project for the ergonomics module.
Roof Top Tent – The reserach
During my research, I discovered a growing number of young people enjoying camping trips. Additionally, there are lots of elderly campers who stay there their whole life. Furthermore, a lot of people today desire independence and the freedom to make unplanned decisions.
The options for roof top tents, their benefits and drawbacks and an analysis of the sector’s competitors are covered in the following sections. In my investigation, I was able to position my roof top tent based on the data I had gathered, leading to the creation of a USP.

Approach of our design process
We initially considered the app’s structure to talk about the scope and the pieces that needed to be built after establishing our concept. The app was then loosely developed and visualized using a wireframe.

Prototyping with Adobe XD
After a thorough benchmark analysis, we finally implemented the previously designed wireframe in Adobe XD. This process enabled us to create interactive prototypes that we could easily share, test, and refine based on user feedback. By leveraging the interactive features of Adobe XD, we were able to identify potential usability issues early and make necessary adjustments to enhance the overall user experience.
